1972' Volvo B59-59 Aabenraa

Copenhagen 1987. HT 583 lasted 15 years in service, it's from the first series of Volvo B59 buses to Copenhagen, a model developed by Volvo on request from KS (Copenhagen Tramways) who wanted a low-entry bus. Volvo were up for the task and built a demo bus for Copenhagen (531) whiched were approved by KS and so the deliveries began in 1971. The B59 was a popular "Low-entry" turbo charged citybus that gained popularity fast in countries like Denmark, Belgium, Portugal and Australia.
